Coach Jake Freedman

Jake Freedman is the co-owner of Ace Performance and a dedicated pitching coach with a strong background in collegiate baseball and player development. A former collegiate pitcher at Augusta University, Jake brings firsthand experience and a competitive mindset to his coaching.

With years of experience coaching athletes across multiple age groups, Jake specializes in pitching development, mechanics, velocity, command, and utilizing data to create individualized training plans. He has worked with players from youth baseball through the high school level, helping athletes build better habits, understand their development, and compete with confidence.

Jake’s own playing career gave him a strong understanding of the dedication and consistency required to develop as a pitcher. He carries that same work ethic into his coaching, focusing on the individual needs of every athlete rather than using a one size fits all approach.

At Ace Performance, Jake is committed to creating an environment where athletes are pushed to improve, held accountable, and given the tools they need to reach their full potential. His goal is simple: help every athlete become a better, more confident, and more complete pitcher.

Coach Deviner McCray 

Deviner’s pitching career established him as one of Georgia’s top arms, earning recognition as the #12 pitcher in the state of Georgia and the 7-A Region Pitcher of the Year. He began his college career at Gulf Coast State College, where he became the single-season and career record holder and was named the 2016 D1 JUCO Fireman of the Year and Florida’s top closer for his dominant late-inning performances.

His success led to a Division I commitment to Kennesaw State University, where he continued his development at the highest collegiate level from 2016–2019.

Today, Deviner uses his experience, knowledge, and passion for pitching development to train the next generation of elite arms. Through advanced mechanics breakdowns, arm care systems, velocity development, and individualized programming, Ace Performance is committed to helping every athlete reach their full potential on and off the mound.

Coach Griffin Graves

Griffin Graves is a pitching coach at Ace Performance and a current left-handed pitcher at Auburn University. A former Top-80 national recruit, Griffin was ranked No. 79 overall and the No. 2 player in Tennessee by Perfect Game coming out of high school.

A two-time All-State selection and 2021 TSSAA Newcomer of the Year, Griffin dominated at the high school level, posting a 0.91 ERA with 125 strikeouts in 53.2 innings as a senior. At Auburn, he has competed at the highest level of college baseball, earning SEC and NCAA postseason experience, including three perfect innings with five strikeouts in the 2025 Super Regional.

Griffin brings an elite playing background and firsthand SEC experience to Ace Performance, specializing in pitching mechanics, velocity development, pitch design, command, and helping pitchers understand what it takes to compete at the next level.
